Shipping Supervisor -London, ON
 
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Shipping Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and scheduling (within M/ERP system) all outbound traffic for finished goods going store direct, distribution warehouse and direct to customer type, supervision and scheduling for all warehouse staff and liaising with associated departments to facilitate effective shipping.   
 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide support and direction to the warehouse team
  • Improve the overall delivery experience for our customers
  • Manages activities throughout the order fulfillment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met (Acumatica)
  • Continuously collaborate with production, planning and secured storage to improve delivery experience and solve issues
  • Work in collaboration with the IT team to improve client experience and productivity of operations
  • Develop, implement, improve and maintain efficient systems that ensure that all deliveries are reaching the customer on time and in proper condition
  • Oversee the creation and submission of accurate and appropriate shipping files to logistic partners (e-commerce)
  • Handle daily communications with delivery service providers
  • Audit weekly billing build reports and manage weekly KPIs
  • Self-starter

qualifications and education requirements

  • 5-7 Years in a shipping department in manufacturing environment.
  • Experience and ability to work in an ERP/MRP system
  • Prior supervisory experience is an asset
  • Prior Acumatica experience is considered an asset
  • Analytical skills and negotiation capabilities
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Exceptional time and project management capabilities
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
