Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Qualification and Metrology Technician is responsible for ensuring that the Facilities Department’s compliance and regulatory requirements are being met as per Tilray’s commitment to GMP practices. The Qualification and Metrology compliance Specialist is the point of contact between the Facilities Department and the other validation and compliance specialists representative of the other Tilray departments, this includes but is not exclusive to the QA/QC department, Manufacturing, Production, R&D, IT, HR, and regulatory Compliance. 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Works with Facility manager & supervisor to ensure department SOP documentation and JTO processes are up to date and meeting F&M department requirements.
  • Generating SOPs in accordance with company GMP compliance strategy and ensuring SOPs up to date and accurate.
  • Maintains the GMP critical equipment asset list and ensures that the CMMS system in relation to said list is current and operating as required.
  • Manages the calibration plan, working with all departments and external contractors to ensure that the calibration plan is update and meets Tilray requirements.
  • Works with QA/QC facilitate the GMP compliance process and ensure continuing compliance.
  • Creates, manages, and implements the Installation and Operational Qualification procedures and documentation.
  • Creates, manages, and implements all equipment commissioning documentation.

Qualifications and education requirements

  • Post-secondary technical training is an asset.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years related experience.
  • Knowledge in CMMS and Preventative Maintenance programs.
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure with a strong attention to detail.
  • Must be organized and able to document all work.
  • Proven ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Applications is required.
