Shipping Technician - London, ON
 
Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor the Shipping Technician will be responsible for assisting in the day to day shipping activities. This can range from transporting materials, building shipments or assisting in clerical work.
 
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ability to maintain and work within the company culture and values.
  • Ability to provide professional, timely, accurate and courteous communication to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assisting in the preparation or loading/ unloading of internal and external resources for pick-up or delivery.
  • Maintain and update information databases with appropriate information.
  • Prepare and assist with outbound shipments or inbound deliveries.
  • Ensure all information is updated and maintained including but not exclusive to; inventory and shipping/ receiving documents.
  • Follow safety policies including safe handling of equipment, and wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment; maintain a safe and clean work environment.
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum High School Diploma.
  • Minimum of 1 year in warehousing or logistics experience required; 3-6 months in shipping/ receiving role an asset.
  • Computer and ERP skills; preferably Acumatica.
  • Time management skills; ability to complete wide range of activities throughout the day.
  • Ability to work in team environment.
  • Ability to take direction.
  • Lifting and moving up to 50 lbs may be required.
