Clinical Education Coordinator

Position Summary
Provides key support role for clinical educators, and all programs offered by the Clinical Education Department.  Develop new employee orientation schedules and sets up all classes, prepares materials, creates and records rosters.  Prepares reports, documents, maintains education records, supports development and distribution of education materials, and develops/presents non-clinical classroom instruction.  Maintains clinical licensure and certifications records. Provides assistance to employees, managers and directors with exceptional customer service.  Assists with other projects as deemed necessary by the Manager of Clinical Services.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in healthcare with previous licensure/certification, database management and education department support experience required.
  • High School Graduate or equivalent; Associate degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Additional Experience/Skills/Knowledge/Training Requirements:
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Webinar management
  • Reasoning ability-ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or visual form. Ability to manage problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Basic mathematical ability.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills to manage working relationships.
  • Detail-oriented; Ability to organize & prioritize under strict deadlines while producing quality deliverables.
Typical Duties: 
  • Maintain the education databases to ensure currency and accuracy.
  • Oversees clinical licensure/certification records, monitoring and reporting. Reports impending delinquencies and delinquencies to Clinical Services Manager.
  • Process, administer, verify and track all necessary requirements for licensure, certification, education records and affiliation agreements. Reports impending delinquencies and delinquencies to Clinical Services Manager.
  • Communicate and assist prospective employees and employees to complete licensure/certification and re- licensure/certification applications. Provide Clinical Services Manager with progress reports.
  • Maintains consortium member affiliation agreements for clinical rotations.
  • Assist in scheduling clinical rotations. Ensure that all clinical rotation documentation is completed and meets regulation standards.
  • Promptly respond to issues with clinical sites concerning preceptors, employees or contracts.
  • Assists in scheduling labs, case reviews, simulation, required courses, orientation and other education activities.
  • Maintain education calendar.
  • Ensure all workflow items are completed within the set turn-around-time within quality expectations.
  • Respond to escalated issues by resolving or redirecting internally.
  • Provide reports related to CAMTS licensure/certification and required education verification on an as-needed bases.
  • Assist in the new employee orientation and orientation record maintenance.
  • Perform any additional duties as requested by management within the scope of knowledge.
  • Responsible for education department supplies, organization, maintenance, tracking, and ordering.
  • This position is 1.0 FTE.
