The role of the Electronic Test Technician is to:  1) Assume responsibility for all aspects of in process Testing, Final testing and environmental testing; 2) Assures the outgoing product meets required performance characteristics; 3) Identify, analyze and resolve quality problems in a timely manner; and 4) Follows company policy and procedures to ensure a safe, respectful workplace.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Repair/calibrate test fixtures as required.
  • Perform non-specialized visual/mechanical inspection.
  • Set up and perform product acceptance testing in accordance with established procedures.
  • Perform failure analysis of defective product (both in-house and returned product) and determination of defect causes.
  • Perform in-process surveillance of test, materials and processes in accordance with established procedures.
  • Document all test, material and process evaluation performed.
  • Report all non-conformance found during test, material and process evaluations per established procedures.
  • Prepare graphs or charts of data or enter data into computer for analysis.
  • Provide technical assistance to floor supervisors.
  • Limited troubleshoot and repair of failed electronic units.
  • Enters information on production records, logs, work order data (time and quantity) and other report forms.
Two year college or university degree in Electronics or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1 - 3 years of Test experience preferred
  • General supervision required from section manager, department manager, or lead technician.
  • Reads, write, speak and understand English well.
  • Follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Read schematics.
  • Assists in keeping the manufacturing systems operational.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
