Overview:
 
The Crew Scheduler is a member of the Crew Scheduling Team within the System Operations Control (SOC).  The responsibility for this role is to ensure a flight crew is staffed on every flight in accordance with FAR Part 121 and FAR Part 117 (Federal Aviation Regulations) and Compass Airlines Operations Specifications. This position is responsible for keeping current records of daily crew duty and rest activity. In conjunction with each crew member, the Crew Scheduler is responsible for ensuring that schedules are in compliance with applicable FARs and labor agreements. The Crew Scheduler will work with other operational departments within the SOC to keep all parties informed of crew rest issues, scheduling conflicts, and legality concerns.
 
This Crew Scheduling position is eligible for the Flight Dispatcher Scholarship contingent upon meeting the Scholarship requirements. The Director of SOC or Manager of Crew Scheduling can provide further details on these requirements upon request. Job Qualifications:
Required:
  • Must be familiar with PC applications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

Job Specifics:
  • Maintain flight schedule integrity by creating and modifying pilot and flight attendant schedules
  • Communicate schedule changes to pilots and flight attendants
  • Process trip trades, sick calls and other schedule changes
  • Field phone calls from crewmembers through the main phone line
  • Ensure all pilot and flight attendant assignments are processed in accordance with contractual provisions and FAA regulations
  • Booking of crew deadhead travel and hotel accommodations.
  • Responsible for resolving pilot and flight attendant legality and rest issues
  • Work 4 consecutive 10 hour shifts. 3 days off
  • Ability to work all shifts (including nights, weekends and holidays to support a 24/7 operation)
  • Other duties as assigned.
