FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR – SIMULATOR (external applicants)

 ​Job Specifics:

The Flight Instructor (Simulator) is directly responsible to the Chief Flight Instructor. They are representatives of flight operations training and must be thoroughly knowledgeable in the EMB-145 aircraft. The applicant must complete the Instructor training as required by the Trans States Airlines’ training program.

Qualifications:

Hold an Air Transport Pilot certificate.

Have a minimum of 2 years previous simulator flight instruction experience in FAR Pt. 121, Pt 135 or Pt 142 operations.

Have a minimum of 3 years PIC (pilot in command) experience in FAR Pt. 121 operations.

Previous experience as line check airman or simulator check airman in Pt. 121 operations preferred.

Must satisfactorily complete the appropriate training phases for the airplane, including recurrent training, that are required to serve as a simulator flight instructor;

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide high quality training to each student while maintaining the highest level of safety.

Must ensure a positive training environment.

Maintain adherence to Trans States’ training programs.

Work closely with the Chief Flight Instructor, training coordinator and training scheduler to assure efficient utilization of simulator flight time and thorough communication regarding additional training, training deficiencies, failures, etc.

Must ensure his/her training standards are consistent and equivalent to the flight standards required by Trans States flight standards department.

Will be qualified to train in a full flight simulator, graphic flight simulator and classroom.
