Job Description:
The Flight Line Maintenance Manager will provide leadership and oversight to ensure all work is preformed in accordance with established policies and procedures.  Provide administrative and technical assistance to the mechanics/repairmen and/or contractors assigned to the station and those that may TDY to the location.  
Key Attributes for a Flight Line Maintenance Manager:
The Maintenance Manager must be a motivated individual dedicated to serving others.  The successful employee will be an individual who will have a proven track record as an employee who is willing to go above and beyond on behalf of the company and co-workers.  A professional appearance and demeanor is a must at all times.  This individual must be a self-starter, who can handle the many demands of keeping remote line station running in an efficient manner.  A working knowledge of company policies and procedures along with good written and verbal communication is a must.
Maintenance Manager, Responsibilities and Authorities:
Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Reports directly to the Senior Manager, Maintenance Control and Line Operations
  • Ensure experience levels and qualified personnel are scheduled on each shift
  • Ensure scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is preformed in accordance with GoJet Airlines' policies and procedures as defined in the Company Manual System in a timely manner
  • Participate in daily reliability meetings as directed by the Director of Maintenance
  • Preform weekly audits in area of responsibility to ensure proper levels of aircraft rotable and consumable parts
  • Communicate deficiencies and surpluses to the Contracted Store Manager
  • Ensuring that OJT levels of assigned staff is at or above goal and provide corrective actions to those that may fall behind
Included in position but not limited to:
  • Hold a mechanic certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings
  • Minimum five (5) years of aircraft maintenance experience
  • Two (2) years in a supervisory position
  • Completed INDOC and CRJ FAM (or equivalent) training (Must be completed within 30 days of employment)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Aviation Requirements (FAR)
  • Required to relocate to the Newark-Liberty International Airport (EWR) area
  • Must demonstrate a solid ability to follow through on assigned tasks
