Any exceptions to the following must be approved by the Interviewing Manager.
To serve as the Chief Pilot a person must:
Hold an airline transport pilot certificate with appropriate ratings for at least one of the airplanes used in the certificate holder's operation and:
a. In the case of a person becoming a Chief Pilot for the first time ever, have at least 3 years’ experience1, within the past 6 years, as pilot in command of a large airplane operated under part 121 or part 135.
b. In the case of a person with previous experience as a Chief Pilot, have at least 3 years’ experience, as pilot in command of a large airplane operated under part 121 or part 135.
c. Be qualified through training, experience, and expertise.
This position reports directly to the Director of Flight Operations.
We are seeking applications from qualified pilots on the GoJet pilot seniority list. The position is St. Louis based, it retains airline seniority, and is being offered for an initial period of 1 year (extendable by mutual consent), with the ability to return to line flying at the end of the period.
1 As an exception, GoJet Airlines will consider candidates with less than the minimum time on a case by case basis, pending an FAA exemption. Candidates with less than the minimum time listed under the Qualifications must have a minimum of 1 year experience as a pilot in command of a large airplane operated under part 121 or part 135.
