We are hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LNP) at our 12th Street Urgent Care in Milwaukee, WI. This is a full-time position that does not require working late nights, weekends, or holidays.

Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides exceptional patient care and direction to those that are seeking medical information and/or medical attention. The LNP will assist with scheduling appointments as the patient’s condition requires, answer questions and provide limited health education, as needed. The LNP will provide support to the medical staff and triage patients as appropriate.
 
Responsibilities
  1. Provides timely feedback and provide telephone operators with assistance as needed to answer medical questions and provides clinical direction in the best interest of the patient.
  2. Triages patient’s medical symptoms and routes the patient accordingly. Schedules patient appointments, as needed.
  3. Assists with prescription refill requests and enters request for provider action, thereafter provides timely follow-up with the patient.
  4. Follows written clinical protocol and procedures and updates patient encounters timely within the Electronic Medical Record system daily.
  5. Assists in the clinic as needed, acting as back-up for the Medical Assistants.
  6. Performs other job-related duties as may be assigned.
 
Requirements
  1. Graduate of an accredited LNP program.
  2. Currently licensed in the State of Wisconsin.
  3. Two years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse, preferred.
  4. Previous EPIC experience or other Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred.
