We are hiring an OB/GYN at our Lisbon Avenue Health Center in Milwaukee, WI. This is a full-time position and will work in our Women’s Health department. This position does not require working late nights, weekends, or holidays in the clinic setting.

We provide high quality, comprehensive care to roughly 16,000 patients annually—a majority of who are low-income. No one is ever turned away from our clinics based on insurance status or ability to pay. We value a patient-centered philosophy and provide range of services that include family medicine, internal medicine, women’s health, urgent care, dental, radiology and integrated behavioral health. We also offer supportive services such as case management, health education and benefits enrollment.
The OB/GYN leads and provides patient services for the Women’s Health Departments and provides medical care and treatment to the clinic’s patients. The physician is responsible for the coordination and activities associated with the patient’s care and makes decisions independently and in consultation with other healthcare team members, when appropriate.
  1. Provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to women through the childbearing years which includes providing education and emotional support as well as managing the physical care on an outpatient basis.
  2. Evaluates patients to determine the medical condition of the patient, through the performance of physical examinations, routine GYN exams including pap smears, pelvic and breast exams, as well as routine prenatal exams to establish, diagnose and propose a treatment plan.
  3. Provides patients with the appropriate education to promote good prenatal care and healthcare in general. Counsels patients on family planning and contraception and provides optimum prenatal care through counseling and teaching.
  4. Conducts six-week postpartum exams on patients who have had a normal vaginal delivery.
  5. Obtains, records, and evaluates the patient’s OB/GYN history. Prescribes appropriate medications and treatments, based on clinic protocols.
  6. Other job-related duties, as may be assigned.
  1. Graduate from an accredited School of Medicine and Residency Program.
  2. Currently licensed in the State of Wisconsin.
  3. Board eligibility in OB/GYN is required, board certification, preferred.
