We are hiring a Pediatrician at our Lisbon Avenue Health Center in Milwaukee, WI. This is a full-time position and will work in our Pediatrics department. This position does not require working late nights, weekends, or holidays.

The Pediatrician provides urgent and non-urgent healthcare for pediatric/adolescent individuals by delivering care appropriate for an out-patient, primary care community health center with a multicultural patient population and participating in newborn nursery duties at the area hospital. The Pediatrician elicits detail patient histories and conducts complete physician examinations to reach diagnosis and counsels the patient and family on health and disease.
  1. Provides all physician care generally provided at an ambulatory care clinic, on an outpatient basis.
  2. Responsible for the delivery of care, treatment, and referrals. Arranges for referral resources for medical specialties not provided by the organization.
  3. Evaluates patients to determine the medical condition of the patient, through the performance of physical examinations, thereby, establishing a diagnosis and proposed treatment plan.
  4. Maintains high standards of medical practice and assists in medical education of the patient and families.
  5. Facilitates the patient’s transition within and between health care settings; refers and transfers patients for specialty care, provides follow-up care and discharges patients.
  6. Provides direction and leadership to the clinic’s medical support staff and provides supervision or acts as a collaborating physician for any advanced practice staff, as needed.
  7. Perform other job-related duties, as may be assigned
  1. Graduate from an accredited School of Medicine and Residency Program.
  2. Currently licensed in the State of Wisconsin.
  3. Board certification, required.
  4. Previous experience in a hospital or ambulatory clinic setting, in pediatrics, preferred.
