JOB SUMMARY
 
Responsible for providing technical assistance, support and set-up related to computer systems, hardware, or software. Responds to requests, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problem, and determines and implements solution. Supports staff in working with the different Systems, maintaining documentation, helpdesk support for Windows Desktops, Microsoft Software, IP Phones, and peripheral IT equipment. Also creates Windows and Exchange accounts, as may be needed.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
  1. Provide technical assistance and support for incoming requests and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
  2. Respond to requests either in person or over the phone.
  3. Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software, includes using imaging software to back up and restore desktop computer images.
  4. Clean up computers and run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.
  5. Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), wireless networks and other systems.
  6. Install computer peripherals for users.
  7. Perform other job related duties as may be assigned.

  7. Ability to relate well to people from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
 
This position requires a minimum of 1 year experience working in a Windows environment, or Certificates issued by an IT training facility, such as CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, or equivalent combination of education and training. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the information technology field. Must be able to interpret instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and work under immediate supervision.
