GENERAL FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Program Director, and in accordance with the Christian nature and purpose of the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati, the Gymnastics Instructor is responsible for providing the curriculum and instructing preschool - intermediate/advanced gymnastics to children ages 3 & up.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Follows the YMCA of the USA teaching guidelines.
  • Work with children to teach the fundamentals of gymnastics while following all safety procedures and protocols.
  • Establish clear objectives for all lessons and communicate those objectives to participants.
  • Monitor participants’ performance to make suggestions for improvement and to ensure knowledge of course standards & objectives.
  • Set up/tear down equipment.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
  • Must demonstrate the ability to teach a safe and effective class.
  • Possess current CPR/First Aid/AED/Oxygen certifications.
  • Must be available to work through the school year.
  • Prior experience in gymnastics required; experience instructing intermediate levels preferred.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • .USAG Safety Certification or YUSA Gymnastics Instruction certification a plus.
EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Part-Time
STARTING SALARY: $8.55/hour
