TICO is an equipment logistics solutions company that has been in business since 1946. While based out of Savannah, TICO has locations throughout the coastal and interior United States. We are looking for a  Mechanic for our La Porte, TX location as we are currently expanding. We are looking for individuals who like a fast pace environment with interest of supporting our multiple port terminal location.
Applicants should have knowledge of: 
I. Cummins & Detroit engine tune-up experience; (Cummins, ISM, ISB), Allison Transmission experience: (3000,4000 series), Diagnose problems related to engine, drive train, air brakes and hydraulic brake systems.
II. Possess general knowledge and proficiency in repair of brake systems, axels, electrical, electronics, hydraulics, transmission, drivelines, differentials, engines and transmission repairs.
III. Engine Diagnostics
IV. Preferred areas of experience may be with light or heavy duty trucks, tractors
V.  Knowledgeable of a variety of hand tools, diagnostic tools, power tools
VI. Able to perform routine maintenance and identify the cause of breakdowns and repair.
VII. Inspect and test and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made
1 - 2 years’ mechanical background
1 year electrical and electrical troubleshooting
Preventive maintenance
Team oriented, flexible hours
Hold a valid driver’s license
Have own tools.
