WORK HOURS: First and Third Shift Available
FLSA STATUS: Hourly Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY
Our Serenity Hall location is a 36 bed adult male facility that provides clients with corrective thinking, employment, housing and court assistance. The Resident Advisor will provide excellent customer service to Talbert House clients to ensure safety, care and monitoring.  The position requires the ability to give direction, monitor behavior and take action in a variety of residential settings in our Court and Corrections and Housing programs. 
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Monitor buildings and grounds to assure safety, custodial care, observation of clients and security of property.
  • Direct client activities.
  • Assist clients and peers in making decisions utilizing established protocols.
  • Observe, investigate situations, report findings, and take action as appropriate to job role.
  • Perform related security and safety functions
  • Handle and or assist in emergency situations.
  • Perform routine intake duties as required by site.
  • Monitor clients’ location and behaviors
  • Complete and provide accurate and timely documentation and record keeping.
  • Communicate key information in a timely manner.
  • Conduct drug screens and pat-downs for security checks.
 
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Able to perform witnessed UA Collections.
  • Able to qualify to drive agency owned vehicle.
 
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent documentation skills and report writing.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Must complete an internal training process to become a certified drug test collector within 30 days of hire.
  • A valid driver’s license and current auto insurance may be required.
