POSITION SUMMARY
The Community Correctional Center is a community-based correctional facility that is a prison diversion program.  They offer vocational/ employment services, alcohol/drug programs, family programming, case management, community reintegration, and corrective thinking.
 
The Resident Advisor will provide excellent customer service to Talbert House clients to ensure safety, care and monitoring.  The position requires the ability to give direction, monitor behavior and take action in a variety of residential settings in our Court and Corrections Service Line.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Monitor buildings and grounds to assure safety, custodial care, observation of clients and security of property.
  • Direct client activities.
  • Assist clients and peers in making decisions utilizing established protocols.
  • Observe, investigate situations, report findings, and take action as appropriate to job role.
  • Perform related security and safety functions.
  • Assist with self-administration of medication and maintain documentation.
  • Handle and or assist in emergency situations.
  • Perform routine intake duties as required by site.              
  • Monitor clients’ location and behavior.
  • Complete and provide accurate and timely documentation and record keeping.
  • Efficiently operates personal computer to enter, edit and/ or retrieve data and to produce reports and documentation. 
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must complete an internal training process to become a certified drug test collector within 30 days of hire 
  • Must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time
  • Must be able to collect urine screens from male offenders
  • Basic Microsoft office skills
