WORK LOCATION: 2214 Vine Street
WORK HOURS: 1st and 2nd Shift
FLSA STATUS: Hourly Non-Exempt

The Cornerstone Resident Advisors will give direction, monitor behavior and take action in a variety of residential settings in our Court and Corrections Cornerstone program by contributing to the overall intellectual, social, physical, moral, and cultural development of the clients. Cornerstone is halfway house for offenders returning to the community or struggling with community living.
  • Enforce the rules of the halfway house by offering professional guidance to its residents.
  • Patrol and monitor client dorm areas.
  • Direct client activities.
  • Assist clients and peers in making decisions utilizing established protocols.
  • Observe, investigate situations, report findings, and take action as appropriate to job role.
  • Perform related security and safety functions.
  • Assist with self-administration of medication and maintain documentation.
  • Handle and or assist in emergency situations.
  • Perform routine intake duties as required by site.
  • Monitor clients’ location and behavior.
  • Assist Supervisor/Manager with administrative duties.

  • Associate Degree or; Higher or High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience.
  • Must complete an internal training process to become a certified drug test collector within 30 days of hire.
  • A valid driver’s license and current auto insurance may be required.
  • Knowledgeable about Safety and Security measures within Talbert House.
  • Must be able to pass NCIC and climb stairs
  • Ability to pass NCIC background check, BOP orientation and PREA screening.
  • Must pass drug test and background check.
