Talbert House is seeking an experienced Leasing Manager to assist with managing and maintaining our affordable housing apartments. The Leasing Manager will leverage their skills and experience with investigating and resolving tenant complaints while maintain compliance with regulatory agencies, along with the supervision of housing specialist staff. 
  • Manages and maintains resident file compliance with regulatory agencies (COC,HUD,OHFA, OHMAS, CMHA, FHLB etc.)
  • Maintains tenant data in systems of compliance agencies (DevCO. etc)
  • Calculates and determines resident rent amounts
  • Responsible for building occupancy reports and property management software (MRI)
  • Investigates and resolves tenant complaints; enforcing rules of occupancy inspecting vacant units and completing work orders.
  • Supervises Housing Specialist staff
  • Assures agency is compliant with established Good Neighbor agreements
  • Be available for emergency on-call duty, as needed.

  • Knowledge of Section 8 housing, HUD Housing Quality Standards (HQS), low-income housing tax credit program, other federal housing programs
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and willingness to learn computer software and systems related to program renewal, program compliance.
  • Strong verbal, written, negotiation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Bachelor degree or 5 years related experience
  • A valid driver’s license and current auto insurance is required.
