Our nursing home is set up in mini-communities that are clean, vibrant and active, exhibiting an at-home atmosphere that is personalized for each resident. We offer traditional nursing services such as therapy, hospice care, long-term care, and skilled nursing. Our rehabilitative therapy services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy, along with therapeutic recreation.

We are looking for a Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist who has a passion for caring for others, are team oriented and possess a strong dependable work ethic.

Requirements for Employment
Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or Human Services preferred. Must have one or more of the following; 
-certified as a therapeutic recreation specialist or as an activities professional by a recognized accrediting body
-have 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, one of which was full-time in a therapeutic activities program
- is a qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant 
Must have valid driver’s license with excellent driving record
Provide proof of a High School Diploma or GED
Pass a Criminal Background Check, Pre-employment Physical and Drug Screen
Job Summary
Assist and supervise the Activity Coordinators in planning, developing, and implementing effective Elder activities. Recruit, supervise, and orient volunteers for various programs. Ensure activity supplies are ordered and available. Attend Elder Care Conferences, set up recreation therapy care plan and document progress notes accordingly. Assist with assessment and complete MDS. Maintain positive relationships with co-workers, elders, visitors and volunteers. Ensure to maintain clean work space and activity closets. Oversee the care of facility pets and ensure elders receive their mail daily.
