Description    This position is responsible for the administration of the enterprise database environment including relational, non-relational, on premise and cloud environments.

 

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure Microsoft SQL Server software, periodic systems / security patches and related products

  • Implement and maintain database security, including creating and maintaining users and roles

  • Perform database maintenance and application/database performance tuning, protecting the organization’s data through scheduled backups of data assisting network operations center team in scheduling and restore activities.

  • Maintain and monitor all database instances cloud  and on premise to ensure system availability

  • Provide Tier 2 / Tier 3 and 24/7 technical support

  • Provide general consultation and deployment activities for Technology Design teams 

  • Create and maintain database documentation and standards

  • Perform database capacity planning

  • Analyze and review the database components of vendor software packages

 

Education and Experience

Minimum

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field and 3+ years experience in Database Administration or equivalent professional experience

  • Advanced knowledge of MS SQL Server 2012, 2014 and 2016

  • Experience with MS SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and Active Directory

    Desired

  • MCITP (Database Administrator) or similar certification(s)

  • Experience designing, configuring, and maintaining data warehouses, OLTP applications, and OLAP systems
