The Strategic Clinical Initiatives Specialist is responsible for:
  • Assisting with the development of organizational clinical practices to achieve LEC’s required clinical outcomes.   
  • Spearheading the development and implementation of clinical initiatives aimed at maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical operations, improve patient service, and enhance quality and safety outcomes. 
Required Education and Experience
  • Current Ohio RN nursing license
  • Diploma from accredited nursing school
  • Demonstrated understanding of State and Federal guidelines regarding clinical care
  • Varied leadership and nursing experience in a healthcare environment (i.e., LTC, home care, hospital, etc), including prior experience working as a Director of Nursing in Long-Term Care.
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Quality improvement, Regulatory process, MDS, Risk management, CMS 5 star system
  • Must possess a customer service background and orientation with demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • State driver’s license.
Areas of responsibilities also include:
  • Electronic health record system development, maximization and education
  • data gathering and reporting of quality statistics including scorecards required by payors
  • health systems or other affiliations requiring data
  • monitoring of events for all levels of service, assisting with RCA and action plans, and reporting to insurance company for such events when necessary
  • monitoring of MDS data to assess accuracy and regulatory compliance.
