The Director of Dining Services is responsible for:
  • Ensuring that the residents' dining experience
  • Ensuring departmental compliance with all local, state, federal, and facility rules and regulations
  • Coordinating and/or conducting staff training
  • Providing assistance with menu planning to assure optimum and economical utilization of food and facilities, recognizing the seasonal and ethnic requirements of the residents
  • Overseeing coordination of special events 
  • Addressing resident/family regarding needs, concerns, and/or problems
  • Providing leadership, supervision, and assistance to staff in fulfilling the objectives of the department
  • Completing performance evaluations
Position Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Nutrition, Dietitian, Culinary Arts, or related field preferred
  • ACF  certification preferred
  • ServSafe certification and HACCP training required
  • 5 years previous supervisory experience required (restaurant, hotel, long term care, or residential setting preferred)
  • Demonstrated service-oriented attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft office proficiency
