Are you adept at recording and reporting financial transactions?  Are you skilled at handling various disbursements and in creating accurate and timely financial records?  Are you a well-organized and analytical professional with an open and approachable demeanor?  If so, we'd love to talk with you!
Our Staff Accountant is responsible for:
  • Entering journal entries into accounting system for various transactions in an accurate and timely manner
  • Reconciling ledger accounts on a monthly basis and report details making up the balance
  • Releasing temporarily restricted gifts to the Foundation, once intended purpose has been fulfilled
  • Filing sales tax reports so that all requirements are met while avoiding over-payment
  • Maintaining fixed asset records in an accurate and timely manner
  • Submitting construction draws for reimbursements, working with CFO on accurately reporting the status of construction costs vs. budget for bond holders
  • Assisting Senior Finance Manager in creating and uploading corporate budget file templates for all departments
  • Reporting to the Controller the finances of the organization
  • Ensuring all revenues and expenses are recorded at year end
  • Obtaining records and providing support for external audits
Position Requirements:
  • Associate degree in Accounting required.
  • Previous experience in accounting required.
  • Microsoft office proficiency, familiarity with AOD, SAGE Fixed Asset Software (FAS), AV Powell (Forecast 7), Raisers Edge, preferred.
