We are currently seeking an outgoing, customer service-driven, multi-talented
Guest Service Representative
to join our team at Hyatt Place in Arlington, Texas!
If you are eager to gain experience and responsibility in a hotel or hospitality setting, this is the opportunity for you! Our representative will work with a team to oversee the reception desk and will cater to guests by bartending, serving hot beverages, such as specialty Starbucks drinks, serving food items from the menu, and will occasionally assist with transporting our guests to and from the hotel! This customer-facing role is ideal for individuals seeking to grow and advance professionally!

Guest Service Representative Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsibilities vary from bartender, barista, food server, and driver 
  • Represents the hotel to the guest throughout all stages of the guest's stay
  • Thoroughly understand and adheres to proper credit, check-cashing, and cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Understands room status and room status tracking.
  • Must be sales-minded, presenting options and alternatives to guests
  • Knows the location and types of available rooms as well as the activities and services of the property.
  • Coordinates room status updates with the housekeeping department
  • Possesses a working knowledge of the reservations department. Takes same day reservations and future reservations when necessary. Understands cancellation procedures.
  • Uses proper telephone etiquette.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area.
The Successful Guest Service Representative Candidate:
  • Applicants must be 18 years or older
  • Previous customer service experience and communication skills required.
  • Hotel or related setting preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent or relevant experience preferred
  • Schedule flexibility
  • Proficient in English language including speaking, reading, and writing
  • Multi-tasks well and effectively
  • Passionate about customer service
  • Professional appearance
  • Ability to lift minimum of 20 lbs. and walk, sit, stand for extended periods of time
  • Must possess basic computer skills
