We are currently seeking a
Bistro Supervisor
for Courtyard Marriott West Des Moines in Des Moines, Iowa!

The Bistro Supervisor will be responsible for prompt, friendly, and efficient service to guests in accordance with Marriott standards of food and beverage quality, presentation, and cleanliness.
Bistro Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in training and coaching new team members
  • Handle all guest service complaints and compliments in a professional and timely manner
  • Input orders into cash register system and collect payment from guests
  • Take guest orders, prepare food and beverage items, distribute prepackaged and prepared food items, and deliver orders to tables as needed
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area including tables, tools, knives, and equipment to ensure sanitary conditions and meet the departmental standards, including using sanitizers required by health department
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and food preparation checklist
  • Assist in the set-up and closing of the Bistro using the provided checklists
  • Assist in checking all fixtures, equipment and conditions (lights, heating/cooling, furniture, wallpaper, etc.) for proper operation. Report deficiencies to maintenance
The Successful Bistro Supervisor Candidate will have:
  • Previous management experience 
  • Experience in hospitality or similar industry
  • Prior experience working in food and beverage
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more and sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time
  • Commitment to customer service and focus on positive guest experience
