We are currently seeking a
Kitchen Supervisor
for Residence Inn by Marriott in Downtown Salt Lake City, UT!
 
The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for leading the team that prepares and serves our daily complimentary breakfast buffet as well as our complimentary guest reception. The successful candidate will provide exceptional guest service by hiring, training, and supervising the team and ensuring outstanding service to each and every guest.
 
Kitchen Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure all guests are welcomed and receive outstanding service at all times.
  • Place food orders each week so all required food items are available for guests to enjoy.
  • Assist guests by helping them to a table and pouring coffee.
  • Cleaning tables and dining/buffet area as needed. 
  • Aware of all menu items and beverage choices. 
  • Must know about the entire property, services, hours of operation, locations, nearby places of interest etc. 
  • Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silverware prior to use. 
  • Maintain the inventory of all breakfast products. 
  • Able to work with point of sale software and inventory software. 
  • Locking refrigerators, restocking items, turning off lights, locking doors, and completing daily cleaning checklist. 
  • Assist with closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas, returning equipment to proper locations. 
  • Work as a team member in aspects such as cleaning, side work, food preparation, and storage. 
  • Solve guest issues with professionalism and always maintain hospitable attitude. 
 
The Successful Kitchen Supervisor Candidate 
  • Schedule Flexibility 
  • Service-minded, friendly, and professional behavior. 
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Good knowledge of Food and Beverage Service. 
  • High School diploma or equivalent. 
  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience as a hotel Breakfast Supervisor or similar experience in a related position.
