The Arbor Lodging Partners Group, a rapidly growing developer, owner and manager of hotels throughout the country, seeks an experienced, proven leader to serve as it's Regional Vice President of Operations. This role will be working with the Sr. Vice Presidents assisting in the management of new growth across the portfolio and joining the current VP team, handling select service hotels in our portfolio.  Arbor Lodging has seen a banner 2019, and will be launching into 2020 with another year of strong growth ahead, and solid expansion across the United States. 
 
Arbor Lodging Partners develops and operates full-service and limited-service hotels throughout the United States and is devoted to providing its hotel guests with the best possible experience while creating value and superior investment returns through its strategic focus on investing, hands-on approach to management and its principals’ unique combination of skills.  The principals of Arbor Lodging Partners have approximately fifty years of combined experience in owning, developing and operating commercial properties (including retail, multi-family and office, in addition to lodging) throughout the United States.
 
The Regional Vice President of Operations will be ultimately responsible for the service provided at, and the financial performance of, all of the hotels in the Arbor Lodging portfolio. 
 
The ideal candidate will be a driven, results-oriented individual that is entrepreneurial, relishes responsibility and seeks a long-term relationship through which he or she can contribute to the growth of Arbor Lodging Partners.
 
The Regional Vice President of Operations will have many responsibilities, the primary of which are as follows:
  • Direct, manage and be accountable for overall hotel operations.
  • Oversee and direct third-party management companies (where applicable).
  • Formulate and ensure compliance with budgets (which will include, but not be limited to, regular monitoring of occupancy and ADR, approval of certain expenditures and responding to circumstances by reformulating strategies in order to maintain profit expectations).
  • Continuously analyze hotel operations for possible efficiencies and implement strategies to effectuate such efficiencies.
  • Work closely with hotel staff (in particular, the general manager and director of sales) to develop business plans, marketing strategies and team agendas as well as serve as a support system for such staff.
  • Develop standards, practices and training programs for operational matters
  • Work closely with Principals to develop pro forma budgets and evaluate operations for acquisition opportunities.
  • Regularly visit hotel properties.
  • Provide regular reviews of operations for Principals.
  • Produce and distribute quarterly reports for Principals and investors.
  • Maintain quality control at all hotels.
  • Oversees human resources administration at hotels.
 
Job Requirements
A candidate for the Regional Vice President of Operations position will have the following qualifications:
  • Highly organized self-starter that is comfortable in a leadership role.
  • Minimum ten years of experience in hotel operations. (Mandatory)
  • Experience overseeing multiple hotel properties in both select-service and full-service hotels.
  • Experience with multiple franchise and property management systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of all operations departments of a hotel.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex information (including financial information).
  • Able to effectively manage and prioritize responsibilities across multiple locations.
  • Ability to direct and motivate third-party management companies (where applicable) and hotel personnel.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and writing skills.
  • Experience with opening new-build hotels and brand conversions.
  • Experience with continuing hotel operations during major renovations and other capital improvements.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word. 
  • Ability to regularly travel. (50% Travel)
An entrepreneurial candidate is desired as the position will give an individual an immediate leadership role and the opportunity to build the operations strategy and team of Arbor Lodging Partners.
