POSITION SUMMARY:
 
The Courtyard Jordan Creek is looking for a service-minded individual who will bring excitement to our team. This multi-discipline position will require open availability, including both mornings and evenings, weekends and holidays.

FRONT DESK AGENT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Register and check out guests and assign rooms. Accommodate special requests whenever possible.
  • Assist in preregistration and blocking of rooms for reservations.
  • Must be sales-minded. Presents options and alternatives to guests and offers assistance in making choices.
  • Use suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel.
  • Coordinate room status updates with the housekeeping department by notifying housekeeping of all check outs, late checkouts, early check-ins, special requests, and day use rooms.
  • Answer incoming external and internal calls and assist with guest requests.
  • Read and initials the pass-on log and bulletin board daily.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area.
 BARISTA DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Must be aware of restaurant’s menu items and beverage choices.
  • Take guest's breakfast orders and enter them into Point of Sale system.
  • Prepare coffee and espresso beverages upon order.
  • Deliver guest meals to tables.
  • Consistently maintain dining area and supplies in a guest ready atmosphere.
  • Ensure breakfast display and refrigerated items are continually replenished and presented in an appealing manner.
  • Wiping up spills and maintaining cleanliness of all appliances and counter space throughout the breakfast shift.
  • Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated.
  • Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silverware prior to use.
  • Maintain the inventory of all breakfast products.
  • Close out shift by cleaning and restocking supplies for next day or shift.
PREREQUISITES:
Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience: Previous hotel-related experience desired.
Physical: Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, hearing, visual acuity, and may on occasion have to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
