POSITION DESCRIPTION PM HOUSEKEEPER/HOUSEPERSON Department: HOUSEKEEPING Division: ROOMS Reports to: Operations Manager/Supervisor/General Manager Position Summary: To be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of assigned floors. To stock Housekeeping closets. To remove linen and trash from Housekeeper carts. To deliver guest requests. Basic Criteria: • No defined level of education required • Must have reliable transportation • Must be able to work weekends • Must have positive and eager attitude • Must be capable of standing for long periods of time • Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds Job Description No Job Description for a position can possibly include all duties which may be requested by guests or required by the hotel. The objective of all positions is to effectively provide the requested service personally, or to immediately refer requests to the appropriate department manager. The following is a summary of the major responsibilities of the position. • Pick up keys from the Operations Manager/ Supervisor in Housekeeping • Remove trash and linen from Housekeeper carts • Stock and maintain Housekeeper carts and vacuums • Clean elevator lobbies, tracks and windows • Vacuum halls • Vacuum service landings and clean service elevator tracks, doors, and walls • Dust woodwork and clean guest room doors • Be helpful and positive to guests and fellow associates • Be responsible for any reasonable request by management
