We are looking for a Front desk agent here at The Jordan Creek Courtyard Marriott. We are located at 410 S. 68th St in West Des Moines, Iowa. We need someone who is flexible to work morning and evening shifts. Morning shifts are starting at 6:30am through 2:30pm. Evening shifts are starting at 2:30pm through 10:30pm. This is position can consist of both full and part time hours depending on hotel needs.
GUEST SERVICE ASSOCIATE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Register and check out guests and assigns rooms. Accommodates special requests whenever possible.
  • Assists in preregistration and blocking of rooms for reservations.
  • Must be sales-minded. Presents options and alternatives to guests and offers assistance in making choices.
  • Uses suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel.
  • Coordinates room status updates with the housekeeping department by notification housekeeping of all check outs, late checkouts, early check-ins, special requests, and day use rooms.
  • Reads and initials the pass-on log and bulletin board daily.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area.
PREREQUISITES:
Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience: Previous hotel-related experience desired.
