About Hotel Phillips, Curio by Hilton collection, Kansas City, MO

Front Desk Supervisor Job Description
  • Supervises and directs front office team members to ensure efficient and smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Responds to telephone and in-person inquiries regarding reservations, hotel information and guest concerns in a professional, courteous and timely manner.
  • Uses suggestive selling techniques to sell room nights and increase occupancy and revenue.
  • Allocates rooms to expected arrivals after considering guest preferences and special requests.
  • Resolves guest issues, complaints and problems in a quick and efficient manner to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Controls cash transactions at the front desk.
  • Ensures hotel charges are processed in a timely manner to guest accounts, invoices are accurate, billing instructions are verified and all necessary supporting bills and vouchers are attached to direct settlements.
  • Builds strong relationships and liaises with all other departments, particularly housekeeping, reservations and sales.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or relevant Hilton experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years related work experience at the Front Desk of a hotel required.
  • Knowledge of Hilton Systems and OnQ certification required.
  • Ability to remain calm and maintain a positive attitude even in stressful situations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to use computerized systems - including Microsoft Office, OnQ and similar systems.
