Job Description:
The primary responsibilities are to provide technical support in the form of system design and to generate project quotations for our sales representatives, external customers and sales staff.
As a Sales Application Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Working with sales representatives, external customers, and internal engineering teams to design engineered solutions that meet customers’ unique needs
  • Developing and preparing quotations by reviewing plans, system schematics, customer specifications, and other customer documents
  • Working with outside vendors to develop system designs
  • Drawing up or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of products which would result in cost reduction or improvement in operations
  • Preparing sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends.
  • Traveling to sales representative and/or customer sites as necessary
This role includes between 20-50% travel in the continental United States.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:                                              
This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline from an accredited four-year college or university
  • 2 or more years of related experience
  • A combination of education & experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, planning, and leadership skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Project management and analytical skills
  • A working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor
  • Ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment Knowledge of mechanical and electrical design and calculations
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, including volumetric flow rate and pressure, is helpful
