Field Sales Representative
The successful candidate should have a 2+ year record of demonstrated sales success of technical products/services, ideally within the oil and gas upstream industry.  The Field Sales Representative will generate prospects, schedule prospect meetings, understand the prospects needs, and close the business. On-site customer software demonstration and training, trade show attendance, and travel should be expected. The successful candidate should demonstrate effectiveness both in C-suite environments as well as in the field, dealing with Production Foreman and Superintendents.
Skills/ Requirements
  • General knowledge of oil and gas production operations
  • General knowledge of industrial instrumentation, database software, telemetry and oilfield instrumentation are very helpful but not required
  • Demonstrated self-starter with time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales goals Strong verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to find and promptly engage with the decision makers
  • Work closely with Field Services Organization to accurately quote new installations, including field travel as needed Work through prospects’ objections and close new business
  • Schedule and conduct a minimum of 6 prospect/customer meetings per week, and travel as needed to do so.
  • Provide accurate and timely entry of prospect and sales data
  • Represent Expanse Energy as the primary customer contact. Be accountable for the overall customer relationship Maintain current knowledge of field service issues related to customers
  • Conduct frequent customer status contact meetings
  • Assist Expanse Energy finance with delinquent receivables collection as needed 
  • Identify regional marketing opportunities and participate in trade shows as needed
  • Provide competitive and market feedback to Expanse Energy management
  • Proven work experience as a sales representative
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, and Excel
  • Familiarity with industrial sales practices along with ability to build productive business professional relationships
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
