The Avanti Resort, located in the heart of International Drive, is currently accepting applications for Pool Attendants.  The Pool Attendant will be responsible for immediately extending an hospitable greeting to all guests and provide them with table-side service in a most professional and efficient manner; while ensuring that you are operating in compliance with all F & B controls.
 
Job Duties:
           
  • Walk pool area frequently and greet guests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Offer food and beverage services based upon the menu and guest request.
  • Have knowledge of Café and Barista menu options.
  • To ensure that all guests’ service areas are kept in a clean and professional manner including but not limited to the pool, pool chairs set-up, towel pick-up and general café and bar area.
  • Clean all tables and pre-buss them as required.
  • To assist in the sales of the food & beverage menu’s to our in-house guest that will increase the outlets capture ratio and revenues per occupied room as compared to budget.
  • Ensure that the department complies with all health department regulations on a day to day basis.
  • To assist in keeping the food & bar areas stocked and cleaned at all times.
  • Operate POS systems in a expedient manner.
  • To be cross-trained in both food and beverage areas so that guests are serviced in the most efficient manner.
  • Assist with all special bar promotions.
  • To be familiar with the beverage requisition system (bottle for bottle pull system).
  • To ensure that all checklist are being implemented and executed on a day-to-day basis.
  • Keep all beverage areas clean and organized including both front and back-of-the-house areas.
  • Ensure that you are in a clean proper uniform with your respective name badge.
  • Ensure that a jigger is used when pouring liquor.
  • Ensure that a check is issued for every item ordered by a guest.
  • To ensure that the department has adequate supplies to meet the operational needs.
  • Assist with all catered / banquet functions if required.
  • Operate in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and government regulations.
  • Maintain and ensure a high level of professionalism throughout the department and staff.
  • Ensure that you smile and greet all guests and co-workers.
  • Take responsibility at your level to ensure that guests are satisfied.
  • Expedite special projects as requested within the timeframe required.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments.
  • Attend monthly departmental meetings with staff.
  • Participate, in all property emergency procedures that protect both our guests and employees as required.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment at all times for both the employees and guests.
 
Job Requirements:
  • Previous service experience (1-2 years minimum)
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Well rounded knowledge in food & beverage servicing.
  • Product knowledge.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to operate the POS system
  • Must have basis mathematical skills
  • Able to work in extreme temperatures
  • Serve Safe and TIPs Certified preferred
