HR Generalist:
  • To provide Generalist and administrative support to the Corporate Human Resources Director and Human Resources Managers.
  • Support processing and maintenance of payroll records in accordance with policies and procedures, as necessary.
  • Oversee issues related to employee relations for designated property.
  • Create, lead and maintain the Orientation process that delivers the clear message of the culture of PHM.
  • Assist with workers compensation, unemployment reporting, and other core HR responsibilities.
  • Monitor and insure at a minimal bi-annual CPR & First Aid classes are conducted and employees required to attend and maintain the appropriate certifications.
  • Create and maintain the monthly PHM newsletter and employee break-room bulletin boards to deliver an upbeat message.
  • Work with the Corporate Human Resources Director to identify and coordinate any external training opportunities that could advance knowledge and PHM culture.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
  • Identify and recommend Human Resource approaches to management team including strategic planning, forecasting, budgeting, and organizational development issues
  • Administer and assist with payroll, compensation programs including but not limited to conducting wage surveys, developing property wage scales, administering wage and salary schedules and merit increases associated with the performance evaluation program working in tandem with Corporate Human Resources
  • Attend mandatory meetings such as risk management, safety committee, management staff meetings, etc.
  • Expedite special projects as requested within the time-frame as required.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English speaking (preferred)
  • Knowledgeable of Florida labor laws and regulations
  • Minimum 3 years Human resources experience in Hotel or Resort environment preferred
  • Must display strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Proven leadership skills, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficient in ATS, HRIS systems and Microsoft products
