Easterseals serving Greater Cincinnati’s YouthBuild program empowers at-risk youth who lack a high school diploma, job experience, or career prospects to escape a lifetime of poverty and unemployment. The program’s game-changing approach provides individuals with the education, hands-on experience and qualifications necessary to attain a well-paid job in the construction industry. Through YouthBuild, students are empowered to succeed academically while learning the value of dedication, accountability and hard work. As part of the program’s practical training component, YouthBuild rehabs affordable housing for low-income families in the neighborhood.
As the Manager of the YouthBuild program responsibilities will include supervising staff and operations by assigning tasks, providing directions, resolving work problems, conducting meetings, overseeing recruitment, and orienting and training employees. Marketing program services and agency operations to general public, community outreach, referral sources, funding sources and employers. Promoting positive relations by establishing and maintaining professional rapport with referral sources, professional organizations, governmental agencies, consumers and others. Implements and enforces agency policies, procedures and quality standards in accordance with funding source expectations. Maintains knowledge and skills by attending meetings, seminars and workshops and conducting presentations.  
Ensures the contracted obligations are met through implementation of the contracted Scope of Work. Keeps accurate records by completing and maintaining required documentation, monthly reports, intake forms, eligibility and source documentation, mileage reports and exit summaries. Compiles and prepares monthly billing for all programs and process in accordance with agency procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with 1 to 3 years’ experience in project or program management
  • Knowledge of Construction management principles and practices, budgeting, planning and resource allocation
  • Ability to apply basic management principles to practical work situations
  • Experience working with at risk youth, job training methods, ability to exercise patience in dealing with at risk youth
  • Ability to deal effectively with job behavior problems,  identify job site problems and recommend viable solutions.
  • Ability to exhibit flexibility in work schedule and job tasks, develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates, supervisors, general public, and referral sources
  • Ability to multi task and prioritize work; problem solve, work independently demonstrating initiative, perform light manual labor
