Easterseals Serving Greater Cincinnati’s YouthBuild program empowers at-risk youth who lack a high school diploma, job experience, or career prospects to escape a lifetime of poverty and unemployment. The program’s game-changing approach provides individuals with the education, hands-on experience and qualifications necessary to attain a well-paid job in the construction industry. Through YouthBuild, students are empowered to succeed academically while learning the value of dedication, accountability and hard work. As part of the program’s practical training component, YouthBuild rehabs affordable housing for low-income families in the neighborhood.
As the Case Manager for YouthBuild you will engage youth facing disadvantages in workforce preparation and training to later engage in successful career opportunities by providing ongoing, objective and customized assessments of the academic levels, work skill levels, and service needs of each youth, developing and implementing Individual Developments Plans for each participant according to the policies and procedures established by the DOL and YouthBuild USA, keeping youth engaged, identifying and arranging for new or continuing service and activities if youth are becoming disengaged and/or are facing new barriers to success, serving as an advocate for youth in securing needed services and navigating the complexities of the service delivery system, completing and maintaining required documentation including case notes, Salesforce, monthly reports, intake forms, activity logs, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in human services or related field
  • Knowledge of intervention strategies; emotional, mental and physical disabilities or disadvantages; general principles and methods for working with persons disabilities and disadvantages; job training methods; vocational and habilitation programming
  • Experience working with at risk youth, ability to exercise patience in dealing with at risk youth
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to exhibit flexibility in work schedule and job tasks
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates, referral sources and general public
  • Ability to multi task and prioritize work; problem solve; work independently demonstrating initiative
  • Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance & a good driving record
