Summary

The Strategic Analyst will support the Army National Guard (ARNG) in achieving executive headquarters level strategic analysis for the success of multiple programs. The areas of support include three general business operations support services: strategic level plans and analysis, strategic event planning, and policy review; knowledge management, collection, implementation, integration, and maturity assessments; and readiness assessments, data collection and analysis
 
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Provides strategic level analysis in the areas of strategic and future planning, staff synchronization, organizational process improvement, analytical research and risk analysis, senior leader engagement preparations and planning.
  • Keep’s abreast of current policy, strategy, campaign plans, and legislation in multiple disciplines for possible application or impact to the ARNG MI force.
  • Analyze planning data and supporting documentation to improve ARNG-G2 processes and evaluate directives, proposed missions, legislation, programs, campaign plans, strategy, and policy. This includes detailed analysis of risk associated with decisions, impact, and suggested recommendations for process improvement to a government employee.
  • Research and analyze strategic level HQDA, FORSCOM, Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM), Intelligence Community (IC), Joint Staff, First Army, CCMDs, ASCC and ARNG G-Staff training, mobilization, and readiness plans and policies as it relates to the ARNG-G2 initiatives, programs, and requirements.
  • Analyze staff actions, organizational structure, business processes, mission alignment, staff levels, command relationships, and program management to make recommendations for process improvement to increase staff effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Research and review ARNG implementation plans, campaign plans, and emergent strategic policy documents.
 
Education/Qualifications:
  • Must have a bachelor's degree and 5 plus years of experience in the area(s) of expertise required or 10 plus years’ experience in lieu of education.
  • Experience in military intelligence program analysis, planning and support
  • Exceptional writing, presentation and briefing skills required
  • Skilled in scheduling, coordinating and managing day-to-day operations; Ability to manage client expectations and monitor quality and timeliness.
  • Must have an active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
  • Prior ARNG experience desired
  • Experience in National Guard Bureau / Army National Guard G2 a plus
