General Manager will hold ultimate responsibility for all warehousing, safety, shipping and receiving, and supply chain activities to ensure timely and efficient fulfillment of customer requirements and achievement of corporate strategic objectives.
This position requires someone who is highly analytical with a desire to constantly challenge the status quo and “think outside the box”.

Responsibilities include:

Provide leadership that drives operational excellence, continual improvement, and teamwork throughout the business unit.
Proactively establish and foster customer relationships through personal communication and involvement, and help to identify opportunities for additional business growth.
Define appropriate metrics and ensure the proper monitoring controls are in place to regularly measure the divisions’ performance.

Collaborate with Human Resources to recruit, train, and develop warehouse and managerial staff to build an effective and stable organization capable of executing operating plans and achieving both divisional and corporate objectives.
Expand the adoption and utilization of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and related operating/information systems to improve productivity, streamline distribution processes, and achieve operating performance objectives.
Analyze and report the operations results on a regular periodic basis to senior management and recommends corrective action to improve future performance.

Design, implement, and constantly improve material handling, inventory control, and shipping/receiving processes to optimize throughput, minimize cost/investment, and satisfy customer demand.
Demonstrate foresight and vision in identifying opportunities for expansion and improvement of scale-able operations. Develop plans that provide for adequate, cost-effective capacity to support company growth.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Exhibits a commitment to excellence and to superior customer service – both external and internal – in every aspect of the business.
Foster a safe, clean, and hospitable work environment for all associates.

Qualification and Skill Requirements:
5 (five) years of managerial experience in a warehouse operation
Job Demands:
Travel to multiple facilities
Occasional evening/weekend work required
Exercise good judgement at all times and maintain compliance with company’s policies and vision
