Multimedia Specialist III
Washington, District Of Columbia

Brief Overview
Provide the design and development of multimedia advanced distributed learning courseware, including on-line, broadcast, video, and computer-based interactive   courseware. Courses may be synchronous or asynchronous. Distance and distributed learning products shall adhere to the Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) and shall be created in accordance  with DoD Instruction 1322.26 -Development, Management, and Delivery of Distributed Leaming. Contractor must be versed in both PC and MAC applications and have a working knowledge of Blackboard (iCademy).

This position is located on-site with the client at Joint-Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop creative learning solutions such as templates, animations, graphics, and layouts
  • Develop interpretive themes that convey ideas and information
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and create cost efficient graphic designs through available mediums
  • Create graphic presentations
  • Demonstrate superior oral and written communication skills
  • Act as subject-matter expert in multimedia
  • Be self-directed, highly professional, and collaborative
  • Advise the SMEs and Instructional System Designers on graphic strategies to achieve learning outcomes and objectives
  • May serve as team lead and assist with administrative functions

Minimum Requirements
  • Personnel shall have a minimum often (10) years' experience working with DoD training programs
  • Submission of examples of demonstrated expertise in area if experience is less than 10 but more than 5 years
  • Expert knowledge of DoD processes and terminology,
  • Four (4) years of experience designing, developing, and producing multimedia projects based upon project objectives, format, methodology, target audience, content, budget, timelines, and available facilities and resources
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • BA/BS degree in appropriate field from an accredited college or university. (Possession of a Master's degree in appropriate field plus 5 years' experience may substitute for the minimum ten (10) years' experience requirement.)
