Solid Biosciences is looking to hire a Principal Associate Scientist to support the Analytical Development team. This individual would be responsible for cell-based bioassay development and sample testing for clinical program at Solid Biosciences. Solid Biosciences’ leading candidate is an adeno-associates virus (AAV) based gene therapy product for the treatment of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).
Key Duties & Accountabilities:
  • Develop and qualify cell-based bioassays to support process development and cGMP manufacturing
  • Identify and evaluate new methods and technology to support ongoing analytical needs
  • Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing
  • Participate in tech transfer of analytical methods, protocols/procedures and know-how from internal labs to CMOs/CTOs, or between CMOs/CTOs
  • Maintain well documented records of analytical data, laboratory notebooks, execution of assays and stability data
  • Contribute to team and project meetings, day-to day lab operations, including ordering, inventory and maintain laboratory equipment
Education, Experience & Skills:
  • B.S. or M.S. in Microbiology, Biology, Genetics or related field and 5+ years of experience in analytical development or Quality Control within a biotech/pharmaceutical environment
  • Proficient in molecular and analytical methods including: cell culture, In vitro cell based potency assay, qPCR, MSD and viral transduction assay
  • Proficient in biochemistry for protein-protein interaction
  • Experience working in cGMP supporting analytical development/Quality Control environment with an understanding of regulatory requirements and trends related to product quality
  • Experience with Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) Understanding of compliance and cGMP considerations
  • 0-10%
