Summary:

 

This position is designed as an intern position in the Information Technology Department supporting the laboratory systems environment and data systems management within the Scientific lab.  Our Intern will work directly with the users and instruments to use technology to integrate the data from scientific lab instruments to the enterprise storage systems. These systems allow our team to perform analysis and publish the final versions for internal collaboration and use.

 

This opportunity will give the intern exposure to multiple different business and laboratory systems, and IT infrastructure systems. Theses systems include windows servers, active directory, enterprise network attached storage solutions, networking, virtual desktops and virtual app deployment. It will also provide exposure to security practices, management and appropriate use of Role Based Access Methodologies, and internal process development. This intern will be working with the science community, IT professionals, and general business users.

 

Requirements:

 

The ideal candidate will be an Information Systems, or Computer Science major that has an interest in networking, storage systems, understanding business and biotech laboratory requirements. We're seeking a candidate who has an understanding of windows active directory, basic network protocols and storage systems, and is willing to work in a fast paced and demanding environment.
