Lead Test Development Engineer – A123 Systems, LLC
 
Description
The Lead Test Development Engineer is responsible for executing test development activities consistent with the Test Development Manager’s goals/objectives for A123 Low Voltage battery projects.
 
Responsibilities
  • Analyze requirements specifications and evaluate testability for system integration and qualification test processes
  • Develop test cases/procedures that effectively verify BMS functionalities and performance against internal system requirements
  • Follow the established system verification process in compliance with ASPICE standard, track and report issues and test status
  • Support customer system integration effort and reproduce field issues.
  • Perform test failure root cause analysis and contribute to issue resolution
  • Work with system design engineers and execute feature and algorithm development testing on engineering build software
  • Reproduction of customer/field issues
  • Lead other Test Development Engineers in supporting all of the above tasks
 
Basic Requirements
  • BSEE, BSCE or related field
  • MUST have at least 5 years of Automotive Industry Experience
  • Knowledge of OEM/Tier1 automotive ECU development and testing process
  • Knowledge of CAN/LIN vehicle networking
  • Experience working with Vector tools (CANalyzer, CANape)
  • Considerable experience using lab test equipment – Power Supplies, DMM, Oscilloscope, Electronic Loads
  • Ability to troubleshoot HW to the component level
  • Familiar with Rational Quality Manager (RQM) OR similar test case development environment
  • Ability to work independently, effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a collaborative fast-pace environment
  • Ability to react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
  • Experience leading a team of Engineers in their task assignments
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Electric/Hybrid Vehicles and/or Battery Management System a plus
  • Experience with NI LabVIEW, VeriStand and TestStand a plus
  • Experience with JIRA OR Similar Issue Tracking Tool a plus
