Project Manager
ActiVia / Stratacache is looking for a Project Manager to oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of key projects for our Fortune 500 customers.

Core Responsibilities
  • Define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management, including identifying resources (time, man power, equipment, etc)
  • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and outlines the activities needed to successfully complete the project
  • Review the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required
  • Gather and document requirements from customer
  • Document and report project activities to management and customers
  • Monitor the progress of the project and adjust as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
  • Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project
  • Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards.
  • Identify gaps and risks and apply project management techniques to mitigate them

Basic Qualifications
  • University Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Management Information Systems preferred
  • 5+ years experience in Project Management, PMP certification an asset
  • 3+ years working in software development field
  • PMP certification an asset
  • Knowledge of R&D and IT processes (Agile/Scrum).
  • Proficiency in the use of computers programs: MS Project (or equivalent)
  • Excel, Issue/Change Order tracking tools (Jira a +)
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • French is an asset
  • Change Orders, define project impacts and educate customer on planning impacts
  • Ensure that the project deliverables are on time and at the required level of quality

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Very strong communication skills and strong ability to speak, listen and write in a clear, thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques
  • Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problem, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track details/data/information/activities.
  • Good decision-making skills to assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization.
  • Experience with managing Fortune 500 customers
