Test and Support Engineer
Test and Support Engineer shall be responsible for creating, maintaining and conducting both manual and automated tests of RDM’s player platforms as well as back-end server, user-interface and gateway platforms. Test and Support Engineer shall also monitor the day-to-day performance of RDM applications and assist in troubleshooting and data gathering during issue/bug investigations.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Player Testing:
    • Execute, analyze, and disposition automated and manual tests for Linux-based players
    • Test infrastructure maintenance and improvements
  • Rails App Support:
    • Execute and maintain existing unit and manual tests
    • Unit test authoring for features in development
    • Mirror and support developers with feature development
    • Implement support and utility scripts
  • Operations Support:
    • Profile and gather performance metrics recorded in production against Player, Gateway, and UI components
    • Gather troubleshooting data to assist in operational issue and bug investigations

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or better
  • 2-4 years of demonstrable success in similar environments
  • Any certifications related to Javascript, RSpec, Ruby, Ruby on Rails helpful to candidacy
  • Entry-level programming and scripting skills.
  • Familiarity with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, RSpec and Javascript.
  • Strong attention to detail and internal discipline to work in areas outside of experience/comfort domains
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem solving abilities
