Project Designer, Industrial

Summary of Responsibilities
​The Project Designer, Industrial is responsible for leading the design team on industrial and bulk-distribution buildings including site feasibility studies, site master planning, and preliminary conceptual and schematic design.  Additionally, the Project Designer will be assisting in the construction administration and document production of assigned projects.   The emphasis of this role will be light industrial and bulk-distribution facilities.   
Essential Job Functions
  • Leading the design team in developing conceptual design and advancing schematic design through design development into presentation quality drawings including rendered site plans, floor plans, and elevations.
  • ​Producing 3D computer modeling and renderings utilizing Sketchup and Revit.
  • ​Preliminary design activities including client meetings, programming, site planning, facility design, presentations and other design functions as directed.   Clients, municipality staff, internal and external developers, construction manager, and others as needed.
  • Leading client presentations.
  • ​Coordinating and prioritizing team resources to assure the timely completion of multiple projects.
​Additional Job Functions
  • Assist in producing accurate and timely construction documents utilizing AutoCAD or Revit. 
​Employees may be asked to perform other tasks as assigned which are not listed.
​Position Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in schematic design, design development, construction document preparation in light industrial, bulk-distribution facilities and commercial projects.
  • ​Site feasibility, including preliminary grading analysis experience required.
  • ​5 to 10 years post-graduate experience in an architectural office
  • Architectural registration required
  • ​Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, or Photoshop
  • ​3D computer rendering 
  • ​LEED Experience helpful
