Job Summary
 
The Vice President, Business Development is responsible for leading a team of real estate professionals to increase Al. Neyer’s market share and achieve established revenue targets. This leader will establish new and leverage existing relationships with real estate brokers, advisors, politicians, developers, service providers and end-users to secure new business and expand existing business, with specific focus on build-to-suit industrial, office and medical office and multifamily as well as speculative office and industrial projects.  This leader will also be expected to develop the market strategy and execute against those initiatives, utilizing the strengths of Al. Neyer’s cross-functional team to deliver the high-quality, high-impact work in alignment with Al. Essential Job Duties
 
  • Responsible for the overall financial performance of the market.
  • Develop a strategy to expand existing business and secure new business in various market segments.
  • Establish new and leverage existing relationships with real estate brokers, advisors, politicians, developers, service providers, and end-users to drive profitable business opportunities.
  • Research and analyze key economic factors that may influence market dynamics, trends and data to support investment considerations.
  • Provide ongoing progress updates on new business development activity and other key indicators to senior leadership.
  • Partner with Marketing Specialist to develop marketing collateral.
  • Lead, manage, coach, develop and retain a high performing team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Education and Experience
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Business, Finance, Engineering or Marketing required.
  • At least 10 years real estate development experience, with 4 years of business development experience in multiple product types required.
  • Have an established network real estate brokers, advisors, politicians, etc. and are a recognized practitioner in the commercial real estate market required.

Requirements
 
Physical
Low physical effort required to sit, stand at files, bend, stoop, lift, and walk, including in outdoor settings at, but not limited to, company managed properties and construction projects. Maximum unassisted lift is 40 lbs. Average lift is less than 10 lbs. Requires ability to use a keyboard and monitor. Also requires the ability to communicate verbally, both in person and on the telephone. Requires travel by car and air.
 
Environmental
Average inside office environment. Average office noise levels. No personal protective equipment is required. Ambient temperature is between 68F and 76F. Occasional work in outdoor settings, including at company managed properties and construction projects. Personal protective equipment will be provided as required.
