The Purchasing Manager is responsible for supporting the core values of our company by providing service with a focus on the Customer Experience.  A major part of this role is communication and ensuring that the end customer, Technical Team members, and the internal Operations and Sales team members are always up to date on the status and timing of equipment delivery and pricing for Installation Projects and Service Projects we perform. In this role, you must demonstrate world class customer relations, technical understanding, and materials organization in order to deliver quality results in a timely and efficient manner.

Some of the duties you'll perform
  • Deliver an amazing Customer Experience with excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Coordinate multiple equipment purchasing tasks simultaneously including Purchase Order initiation and tracking, equipment costing, shipping coordination and tracking, and warehouse organization.
  • Professionally handle multiple incoming requests from customers and Company team members to ensure that issues are resolved both promptly and accurately.
  • Organize on-line accounts from Salesforce and other Company and vendor software systems.
  • Review Bill of Materials and other project documentation to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
  • Develop and manage the shipping cost tracking reports to ensure budget accuracy and understand Company accounting systems well enough to balance the effect inventory and purchasing has.
  • Develop and manage Warehouse Sales for purchases from existing customers.
  • Accurately record estimated and actual project costs and complete project costing budgets after the project is completed.
  • Provide accurate product information and serve as a knowledgeable resource for all teams.
  • Meet or exceed all monthly key performance standards and deliver exceptional reliability and adherence to project scope, schedule and budget.
  • Organize the warehouse/fleet stocking locations and ensure accurate inventory counts
The requirements of this role include:
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of continuous and verifiable employment.
  • Minimum 2+ years of recent customer service, communication, procurement, or supply chain experience is required.
  • Ability to learn and understand technology systems and gain a high level of technical knowledge of company systems
  • Strong listening skills, professional telephone manner and ability to deal tactfully and effectively with customers in a fast-paced customer focused environment.
  • High level of computer skills in a Windows environment with the ability to quickly learn the Company and partner/vendor software systems.
  • The ability to multi-task and maintain a very high level of organization.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities and character to remain calm and resolve problems as they arise.
  • Ability to get along with others, accept constructive feedback and exhibit a positive attitude.
  • Demonstrated passion for excellence with respect to treating and caring for customers.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet individual goals.
  • Strong decision making and analytical abilities and deal with conflict resolution effectively.
  • High school diploma/GED and be ability to pass a background check required.
