Wealth Consulting Manager

Summary/Objective:

The Wealth Consulting Manager will focus on addressing our clients’ most important concerns ,aspirations and day-to-day relationship management needs, from assisting in the financial planning process, coordinating individual investment manager selection process and overseeing the execution of the investment strategy and managing risk in multiple portfolios and entities worldwide, to aligning family governance structures and estate plans with their values and hopes for future generations, to connecting them with our investment bankers and capital markets specialists.
The Wealth Conslutling Manage works with our clients and our Private Capital Management team to identify and develop new business relationships. We begin with gaining an in-depth understanding of every client’s specific needs and objectives. Then we tailor a wealth management approach that considers all of their goals—for their investments, and for their lives.  The skills and responsibilities of the job are briefly described below.

Responsibilities:
  • Communicates and consults with clients and introduces them to new products of the wealth management group, bank, or trust [ We don’t “sell” products.  We take a creative and highly customized approach in assisting our clients achieve their financial goals and objectives].
  • Work closely with our Private Capital Managers / Lending Officers in identifying and developing Wealth Consulting opportunities with our existing and prospective clients
  • Oversee and manage the ongoing Wealth Consulting client relationships, being responsive to ongoing client needs / requests, conducting periodic reviews, client meetings and client pitches
  • Work closely in identifying and developing strong working relationships with external/ outsourced subject matter experts in Trust and Estates, Tax Accounting, Investment Management, Insurance, etc.
  • Ensure all Wealth Consulting activities are in compliance with all Regulatory requirements
  • Proactively contact existing and prospective clients as part of the Wealth Management client relationship management strategy
  • Follow-up communication with other Bank departments and clients with regard to service and/or problem resolution
  • Integrate client service and sales support with the Wealth Management advice offering focusing primarily on advice implementation, asset consolidation coordination and client counseling on income execution; including assisting clients in completing forms and reviewing forms for accuracy.
  • Work with investment partners to obtain information on investments and market conditions requested by trust customer
  • Oversee or assist, as required, the Trust Operations Analyst with:
  • Compiling, recording, and entering names and addresses, description of assets, and other information to open or close trust accounts in appropriate Trust systems and applications
  • Communicating with holders of assets, trust clients, stock transfer companies, and other parties, and transmitting specified documents to arrange for transfer of securities and other trust assets to or from trust account
  • Documents funds received or disbursed and updates records
  • The proper notification of clients regarding RMD status, tax documentation and asset valuation
  • Prepares and mails checks, or enters commands to generate checks, to pay bills for personal trust customers, disburse loan proceeds, and remit dividends, interest, and other funds to recipients
Essential Skills:
  • Experience with investment management and financial advisory services
  • Knowledge of Bank and Trust division functions
  • Excellent client relationship management skills. 
  • Build and maintain long term relationships, deepening relationship and growing revenues
  • Provide seamless and superior service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with key regulatory and bank level requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • A  Banking or Wealth Management/Trust Operations internship preferred
  • CFP® and/ or CTFA certification, preferred
